What is Naantali?
Naantali is, with its 20.000 inhabitants and 1.000 islands, a picturesque and sunny archipelago town, cherished by its residents and popular as a travel destination. We have a broad variety of businesses in different sizes operating in many industries. Naantali port is Finland’s busiest port for Scandinavian cargo. We are also the hometown of Moominworld.
What is Naantali's mission and your unique approach to reclaim the sea regions?
Our vision is to be a sunny archipelago town with happy living. We aim to develop our town sustainably and family friendly. We care deeply about our residents and entrepreneurship is of great value to us. We see Naantali and the archipelago as a vivid and communal place that attracts people interested in the archipelago lifestyle. We think that the archipelago begins from Naantali town centre. The wellbeing of the archipelago is vital for us. That’s why we are constantly looking for different ways to improve the condition of the Archipelago sea both directly and indirectly.
How does Naantali, under the guidance of WHO, collaborate with the A'Pelago, and what services does the Naantali provide to A’Pelago stakeholders that can support catalyzing blue economy innovation, business solutions and financing?
We are eager to help businesses find solutions that can support the blue economy and sustainable growth. We have plots and premises where companies can build their operations either from scratch or by relocating. In cooperation with our regional business advisors at Business Turku we provide many tools for companies to grow and develop business free of charge. We welcome all entrepreneurs, old and new, to Naantali. Working together we can achieve more.
We at A’Pelago are thrilled to continue our fruitful collaboration with Naantali and look forward to the exciting future possibilities this collaboration will bring to the A'Pelago ecosystem.
