Christine Spiten

Christine Spiten is a Senior Growth Manager, Co-Founder of Blueye Robotics, Early-stage impact investor, Ocean technologist and robotics engineer & Norwegian sailing champion. She is currently employed by Danske Bank Growth as a Senior Growth Manager.

In 2012, Spiten was interning at a company called Kongsberg when she first learned about underwater ROVs used for deep sea monitoring. Intrigued by our limited access to explore and experience the ocean, she moved to San Francisco to learn about entrepreneurship and underwater technology and joined a startup there. In 2015, Spiten co-founded the underwater drone company, Blueye Robotics. Living on her sailboat, while running Blueye and advocating ocean exploration led her to a point where she left Blueye to work on circular economy and fight ocean plastic with World Wildlife Fund, focused on the intersection between public and private sector, and innovation.

She made a public TED-talk, was selected as Forbes “30 under 30” and World’s Top 50 Women In Technology, and Top 10 Female Tech-Entrepreneurs in 2018.
