Jyri Arponen

Jyri Arponen is the Regional Mayor of Southwest Finland. Arponen has over 30 years of leadership experience in both the public and private sectors and has worked in regional as well as international roles. Before his position as Regional Mayor, he led the industry and innovation division at Sitra.

As Regional Mayor, he aims to strengthen the competitiveness, sustainable growth, and business environment of Southwest Finland in cooperation with the state and stakeholders. Arponen sees the region as full of opportunities and emphasizes the importance of expertise, investments, and open dialogue.
