Pasi Pajula

Pasi Pajula is Manager, Decarbonisation Services Business Development at Wärtsilä, where he works with marine decarbonisation, retrofit solutions, and sustainable maritime technologies. His work focuses on supporting vessel owners and operators in reducing emissions and navigating the maritime industry’s transition toward more sustainable operations.

With a background in mechanical engineering and extensive experience in technical sales, business development, sourcing, and project management, Pasi has worked across a wide range of marine and environmental technology projects: from new product development and R&D to large-scale service and retrofit investments.

In addition to his role at Wärtsilä, Pasi has contributed to the Zero Emission Marine initiative, supporting the development of carbon-free maritime transport solutions together with industry and research partners.

Pasi will join the Maritime Track panel discussion on Day 1 of the A'Pelago Initiative, sharing insights on decarbonisation, future fuels, and the transition toward more sustainable shipping.
