
Sari Multala
Minister of the Environment and Climate, Member of Finnish Parliament
Sari Multala is a Member of the Finnish Parliament, and she currently serves as the Minister of the Environment and Climate. In addition to ministerial duties, she is actively involved in local politics as a member of the Vantaa City Council and the Vantaa-Kerava wellbeing services county council.
She holds a Master’s degree in Economics and Business Administration. Before being elected to Parliament, she worked as the head coach of Finland’s national sailing team. Sports have played a central role in her life, both as a competitive athlete and in various leadership and advisory positions within the sports community. She competed in the 2000 and 2004 Olympic sailings, and she is a two time world champion in the laser radial class. Nature, physical activity, and quality time with her family are essential sources of energy and inspiration for her in both daily life and decision-making.
