Together, we ensure that sustainable business solutions can grow to generate economic value and can scale to maximize the impact. In other words, the ecosystem provides access to research, commercialization and financial support for blue economy businesses at any growth stage.
The ecosystem is particularly relevant for stakeholders looking to lead innovation and to take an active role in growing blue economy solutions from our local waters to global oceans.

I and my organization are just getting started in the blue economy field; isn't an ecosystem membership too advanced to us?
Not at all. The A'Pelago Ecosystem offers resources for every stage, including the Supporter membership tier, which gives you access to beginner content and supportive discussions designed specifically for those taking their first steps in the blue economy field.
I'm already a seasoned A'Pelagist and have visited previous A'Pelago events and programs, what does this all mean to me?
This is great news for you! By upgrading to an A'Pelago Ecosystem official member you get discounts or completely free tickets to our events. In addition, you get to collaborate with our other seasoned A'Pelagists and get first hand knowledge of upcoming programs.
ps. The Activist plan includes a 2-day A'Pelago Initiative ticket and is cheaper than an actual event ticket!

Supporter plan is best for you if your goal is to learn more about blue economy and get to know the ecosystem.
Activist is best for you if you are interested in building new connections and collaborations to advance your blue economy initiative while you want the ongoing support of other community members who are working on blue economy solutions reclaiming the seas at the same time as you. Membership enables presenting your pitches, services or funding goals to the ecosystem.
Strategic and business plans are best for you if you’ve already seen some success with your business or are a seasoned entrepreneur who is working on a new blue venture or on supporting one. You know all the basics and are looking to connect and enable other innovative blue economy initaitives to grow.
How do I join?
Choose the membership that is best for your needs. Depending on your choice, buy your membership or leave an application to become a partner member. After purchase you'll be logged to the Blue Connect platform and you can start collaborating with the ecosystem.
What can I expect after joining?
Time for connection, action and experiences awaits! You’ll soon receive an onboarding email right in your inbox, giving you access to the ecosystem and our online Blue Connect ecosystem platform. From there, you’ll be guided step by step to get started. We’ll suggest activities and actions to help you explore the platform and discover the offerings that matches your interests. Don’t forget to check out the event calendar and join an upcoming session where you get to meet the ecosystem in real life!
Here’s the key takeaway: to truly benefit from this community, you’ll need to invest your time. This isn’t a quick fix—it’s a chance to grow and learn alongside like-minded peers.
Can I switch membership I am in?
Yes—you may switch between the Supporter and Activist plans at any time. Application for Accelerator and Partner plans are open frequently; active Supporter and Activist members are encouraged to apply for Accelerator and Partner plans during the open cycles. More details on the open Accelerator and Partner application timeline will be posted in the “News” space within the Blue Connect -platform.
Do you have a refund policy?
We offer a full refund within the first 30 days of your membership, if you decide that membership is not right for you. It’s your responsibility to make use of your membership; extensions to the membership refund period will not be granted.
Can I offer my services in the ecosystem?
As an Activist member, yes you can. You will find rules on how you can promote your startup, services or investor profile on the ''Collaborate'' space on the Blue Connect -platform.
I'm not sure about the investment, is it worth it?
Think of this as an investment in your and your organization's future. You’re not only gaining access to valuable courses and resources but joining a community that supports and challenges you. Many members find the networking, accountability, expert matchmaking and insights alone are worth the cost.
