Kimitoön / Kemiönsaari

Kimitoön is the heart of the Archipelago Sea – here, we live the archipelago every day. We are a municipality that looks to the future. Within the framework of the Finnish Government’s Archipelago Sea Programme, Kimitoön has been chosen as one of three pilot areas in Finland – an initiative aimed at improving the condition of the Archipelago Sea and reducing nutrient emissions into our waterways and marine environment.

“For us, the Archipelago Sea is not just a place – it is a vital force, an opportunity, and a future.” - Erika Strandberg, Chief Executive of the Municipality

Paraisten Kaupunki / Pargas Stad

The city of Pargas is, and will always be, an active participant when it comes to reclaiming the seas. The city has been involved with A’Pelago from the beginning and recognises the enormous potential that the archipelago will offer now and in the future. We value the vast network of experts, businesses and stakeholders that are part of the community and we will actively continue to be part of this initiative. Looking after our fragile sea, while at the same time recognising business opportunities within the framework is our top priority.
