Joakim Lind, PhD, is a Swedish economist, researcher, and communications strategist based in Stockholm. He holds a PhD in Economics and Business Administration from Åbo Akademi University and a background in social anthropology from Lund University. His work focuses on how narratives and storytelling shape place identity, branding, and cultural and economic value.
He has over 25 years of experience working across academia, consulting, and strategic communication. Joakim currently works as a senior PR and communications consultant at Cloudberry Communications and as a researcher at Åbo Akademi University. He advises organizations across the Nordic region, including public institutions and global technology companies.
His expertise includes place branding, media analysis, and the impact of storytelling on tourism and public perception. He is widely cited in media for his insights on film tourism and cultural branding, particularly in relation to major Nordic media phenomena. Joakim’s work bridges research and practice, connecting analytical thinking with real-world communication strategy.
