Karno Tenovuo is Co-founder and CEO of Awake.AI, a Finnish maritime technology company driving the digital transformation of global ports and shipping. With more than two decades of experience in the marine industry, he has built a career at the intersection of innovation, strategy, and sustainable maritime operations.

Before founding Awake.AI in 2018, Karno held senior leadership roles at Rolls-Royce Marine, where he led Ship Intelligence and business strategy initiatives focused on next-generation vessel operations. His career highlights include contributing to some of the world’s first remotely controlled and autonomous commercial vessel demonstrations.

At Awake.AI, Karno leads the development of smart port solutions that use AI, data platforms, and digital collaboration tools to improve efficiency, reduce emissions, and enable just-in-time port operations. He is widely recognised as a thought leader in maritime digitalisation, decarbonisation, and the future of intelligent sea logistics.
