Mika Laajalahti

Mika Laajalahti is VP of Patents & IP Advisory Services and a Partner at Berggren. A European Patent Attorney and UPC Representative with over 25 years of IP experience, he specializes in patent strategy, patent prosecution, freedom-to-operate analyses, IP strategy development, and patent disputes.

Holding a Licentiate degree in Applied Physics, Mika has extensive expertise across electronics, optics, life sciences, energy technology, GreenTech, circular economy, and industrial technologies. He works closely with startups, scale-ups, and multinational corporations to protect and commercialize innovation through effective intellectual property strategies.

In 2025, he was recognized as an IP STARS Patent Star for his distinguished contributions to the intellectual property field.
