Professor of Hydrogeography & Remote Sensing, Dr. Petteri Alho is Head of the Department of Geography and Geology at the University of Turku. He also serves as Vice Director of the DIWA Flagship—a leading research initiative focused on digital waters—and is Director of the UTU-GreDiT COFUND programme, which supports international postdoctoral research in sustainability and green transition. With deep expertise in hydrogeography and remote sensing, Professor Alho’s work bridges science and digital innovation to better understand and manage our water systems.
