Timo Ketonen

As the Partner and Co-founder of A'Pelago, my mission is to spearhead initiatives that reclaim the vitality of sea regions through collaborative and science-based business strategies. We have fostered an ecosystem of over 500 organizations committed to this cause. My role harnesses new business development, social networking, and marketing communications, instrumental in driving impactful change.

My tenure as CEO and Founder of Aboa Advest spans over a decade, focusing on impact investing and nurturing DeepTech startups. Our family-owned investment firm has strategically invested in multiple venture capital and buyout funds, with a long-term vision of substantial financial returns and societal benefits. The insights and experiences from these endeavors fuel my commitment to sustainability and innovation in the Finnish Archipelago and beyond.

I am currently also Chairman of the Board of TS Group (TS-Yhtymä Oy), a family business founded in 1905. 

My hobbies include sailing, tennis, reading books and music. I play the guitar in a band. I also like cooking Asian food whenever I have the time. I have sailed to Svalbard 80N and in the South Seas.

I live year-round on an island in the archipelago in SW Finland and we also have a city apartment in Turku, Finland.
