Leonard Breukers

Since childhood, I have lived by the seaside. Upon returning from Belgium to Finland, my family and I moved to the Finnish coast, which I have always enjoyed from Helsinki to Oulu. Boating in the archipelago of Pori and vacations on the coast of Sicily have further strengthened my relationship with the sea, which is vital for our existence. I am an expert in corporate responsibility, a doctoral researcher, and a board member. My work and research focus on measuring, reporting, developing, and integrating corporate responsibility into economic decision-making. I am a sustainability consultant at Azets Insight Oy, supporting our clients in fulfilling their EU reporting obligations and setting science-based climate targets. Additionally, I study the EU taxonomy and corporate reporting of natural impacts at the Oulu Business School. I also serve on the board of the Finnish Business School's Nordic Sustainability Reporting Standard project, which promotes the understanding and expertise of Finnish accounting firms in corporate responsibility reporting.
