Patrik Nygrén
Mayor of Pargas
Patrik Nygrén is the Mayor of the archipelago city of Pargas since his appointment in 2015. Patrik is an economist from Åbo Akademi University and has led, apart from Pargas, also the municipalities of Korpo and Kumlinge, both situated in the Archipelago Sea.
Social innovations really make Patrik tick, and he highly values the versatility of the work as a Mayor. "In our city, we work broadly with education and vitality. We emphasize sustainability, wellbeing, and the joy of creating together, and we really want to elevate the attractivity of our city: As a place to live, work, and creating business". Patrik relaxes by the sea and sees the archipelago and the sea as a metaphor for life.
